the $30 barrier to entry is just too much for small time users. they need to get that down.

I just wish they would make it affordable to do the occasional browsing. They would be smart to do so, as once people got addicted, they would be buying the more expensive data plans.

Say $5 for 200MB or something like that. I don't need 6gb, and can't justify more than $5. I sit at a desk most of the time. But occasionaly while shopping, surfing is handy.

but from time to time, I can just not log onto 3.5G network in the afternoon in my office area. My office is in North York Center, a pretty big office and residence area. I assume Rogers' infrastructures just can't accommodate the new data demand yet.

This does look like a good deal, but it's the 3-year contract that I wonder about. 3 years ago, 6GB of data/month would've cost you $3.6 million/year; at the non-promotion price today it's $1200/year. With this promotion, it brings it down to $360/year. How much further will data rates drop in the next year or two…?

Even $360/year for 6GB/month is more than I'm willing to pay to have to deal with Rogers tech support. I may consider getting it through Fido…

I've been a heavy user of the web browser, email, RSS feeds (netnewswire), uploading and downloading pics all over the place, and also downloading on the go applications from the App store

and my total usage is 120mb !!!!! for 20 days! I can't imagine what I could do to fill the 5.8Gb left!

This still works with BES accounts, we use BES for email and I am running the 30 dollar 6 gig plan with out issues,

I got a question about this, hopefully some one can help me out.

Can I get a data only plan?! For $30 + SAF seems good!

I currently have a contract with Fido for just over 1 more year, but they give me a sweet deal (retentions) which I probably won't get anything close to with Rogers (for voice)

Ahh, and I need Rogers for BIS!!
