No mobile TV uses a different standard in Europe than in North America. At least I think it does unfortunately.

Specs are like a foreign language to me but I'm a recent Nokia convert (in the end I think it cost me more than an iPhone) and I *love* it. Give me more to choose from and I'll likely buy into the clan though at the moment, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase!

Not to nitpick but I think you mean to say "the **n96** being most distinguished by **its** sky-high price ".

rolad and acurrie, I totally agree. As the owner of a underutilised N95-1 in Canada (d@mn that "E"!!! I want 3G), I really wish we could get all the cool European phones with NAM 3G.

And yet somehow Nokia's still managed to double their inventory requirements with a European-optimized version (900/1900/2100 MHz 3G) and a NAM version (900/1900/2100 MHz 3G). Why can't they just do quad-band 3G and make things less confusing?

AFAIK, the N85 has tri-band 3G which means it will work with both Rogers and European 3G out of the box which makes it a true world phone (since it also has quad band GSM!), i saw the N85 display in Helsinki at Nokia House and it's an amazing screen sooo if i was buying one, i'd get the N85, hope Rogers makes it available!
