		<description>In the US, the Palm Centro is marketed as a bargain-priced smartphone. It is $79 here with a 2 year contract, or free (with a 2 year contract) if you get the previous generation Centro. (Which, considering the picture, is what is being offered by Rogers.) In other words, Canadians are getting a budget phone at luxury-item prices. At the price of free or $79US, the Centro is actually a very nice smart phone. At $299, more than the price of a US Palm Treo or a US (or Canadian) iPhone, it is hard to understand what Rogers is doing; besides ripping both their customers and Palm Inc. off.</description>
